Why HAAG matters

The credential insurance adjusters take seriously.

Even if you’re not filing a claim, HAAG methodology means the diagnosis is grounded in industry-standard inspection science. not a sales rep’s guess.

HAAG Certified Inspector. Residential

Kevin Butler

General Manager | 21 yrs at DreamHome

HAAG Education is the industry-standard methodology for residential roof inspection. Required curriculum, exam, and ongoing recertification. Kevin holds the credential and audits the standard every DreamHome inspector follows. Most contractors don’t hold HAAG. even most “storm restoration specialists” don’t.

Shingle condition

Curling, cracking, granule loss, lifting at corners. full surface assessment with drone + ground photos.

2

Granule loss measurement

Cup test of downspout output. Quantified, not estimated. Critical Roof Maxx eligibility signal.

4

Flashing inspection

Chimney counter-flashing, wall step flashing, valley metal, drip edge. every transition photographed.

5

Pipe boot + vent condition

The #1 cause of mystery leaks. Each penetration photographed and assessed for boot + storm collar.

6

Ridge + valley assessment

Ridge cap condition, underlayment exposure, fastener pull-through. Valley metal + shingle reseat.

7

Attic ventilation balance

Intake vs. exhaust ratio measured. Half the failed roofs we see have the wrong ratio. preventable.

8

Decking condition (attic)

Stain patterns, soft spots, daylight visible at penetrations. Hidden until you look up.

9

Gutter condition

Sag, separation, downspout pitch, fascia rot behind. Often the cause of so-called “roof leaks.”

10

Skylight + chimney

Step flashing, kick-out flashing, mortar joint condition, counter-flashing tightness, skylight curb seal.

11

Soffit + fascia
