Northern Virginia's 5 Best Roofers in Alexandria, VA (2026 · Ranked by DreamHome)

No sponsored placement. No paid review syndication. The five operators below cleared four hard filters Lenny set when he started DreamHome in 1999 and won't compromise:

• Founded before 2020. Storm-chaser LLCs spin up after a hailstorm and disappear by the next cycle. We only consider contractors who survived a full roof generation in this market, not a marketing campaign.
• 4.7 stars or higher across at least 50 Google reviews. Five stars from a dozen customers tells you almost nothing. Real review depth is what tells you whether an operation holds together when a job goes sideways at month nine.
• Documented Northern Virginia service footprint. A physical office in or near Alexandria, or a verifiable service-area presence covering Alexandria as a primary market. We exclude 50-mile-radius operators who would subcontract your roof to a crew you'll never meet.
• Real installation credential, where the operator carries one. Owens Corning Platinum Preferred, GAF Master Elite, or CertainTeed 4-Star ShingleMaster status reflects manufacturer training, extended warranty access, and accountability that ordinary contractor licensing does not.

Disclosure. DreamHome Remodeling produces this guide. We rank ourselves at #1 and stand by it: Owens Corning Platinum Preferred plus 25 years on the same Northern Virginia and Mid-Atlantic streets is the work, not the marketing. The four operators below us are evaluated against identical criteria with the same level of detail.
